Selecting the right type of the plants is the best way to successfully earn your hard work.

  • If you have no much big area, then you should select such kind of plants that keep providing (their fruits) vegetables throughout the season such as tomatoes, pepper, eggplant, squash, cucumber, garden peas, and basil.
  • If you have a large area to plant vegetables, then you can grow other vegetables that produce once such as carrots, radishes, beet root, and corn.
  • If your backyard is too shady or it gets 4 to 5 hours of sunshine, then you have to select plants that can grow well in this limited duration of sunlight.
  • If you select vegetables to grow in your backyard which need full sun (6 to 8 hours of direct sun), but your spot or garden is not a suitable one for these plants, then there might be increased risks of diseases and insect attack to your plants and you will end up wasting your time and struggle. You can still grow green leafy vegetables for your garden that do not require full sun such as spinach and lettuce.
